A house of such a beam has an impeccable appearance, the walls look more impressive. High beams of 270 mm in height (often called salon beams) are made by gluing horizontally. Quality gluing does not affect either the strength or aesthetics of the walls. For lamellas, the highest quality timber is selected according to the technical specifications. The splicing of the outer lamellas is equal to 6 metres (the length of the incoming sawn timber), for comparison: at a low beam the step of splicing is 3-4 metres. The uniqueness of this glued beam is that beams are glued with the take-off of the seams of the inner lamellas. In contrast to the traditional Finnish salon beams, in the case of glued timber beams with a height of 270 mm there is no continuous horizontal (through) suture for the entire thickness of the beam. The beam is more stable due to the lamination of the lamellae.
